Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund for purchases made through Cineflow ("the Service"). It supplements our Terms of Service. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as the merchant of record.

Summary. Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime and will not renew at the next cycle — we do not prorate refunds for the current period. Credits and credit packs are non-refundable once any credits from a top-up have been consumed. Duplicate charges, billing errors, and service failures on our side are always eligible for a refund.

1. Digital Service & Immediate Delivery

Cineflow is a digital service that is made available to you immediately upon purchase. By completing a purchase you expressly request that delivery begin immediately and acknowledge that, once your subscription is activated or credits are added to your balance, the service has been performed in full. The specific refund eligibility described below applies; mandatory consumer-protection rights under your local law are not affected.

2. Subscriptions

2.1 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to paid features (and any remaining subscription credits) until that date.

2.2 Refunds for the Current Period

We generally do not refund the current billing period once it has begun, because the service and credits are made available immediately. We may grant a refund at our discretion in cases of:

  • accidental or duplicate charges;
  • a confirmed technical failure on our side that prevented you from using the Service for a substantial portion of the period;
  • charges made after you had already cancelled;
  • where required by mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.

2.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If you forget to cancel and are charged for a new period, contact us within 7 days of the renewal charge and we will review the request. Refunds are generally available only if no material usage has occurred during the new period.

2.4 Changes, Upgrades & Downgrades

When you upgrade mid-cycle, the price is prorated and the new plan is charged immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Downgrades do not create a refund for the difference in the current period.

3. Credit Packs (One-Time Purchases)

Credit packs are delivered instantly to your account balance.

  • If none of the credits from a pack have been consumed, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
  • Once any credits from a pack have been used, the pack is non-refundable.
  • Credits themselves have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money except as described in this Policy.

4. Failed Generations & Credit Refunds to Your Balance

Separately from monetary refunds, the Service automatically refunds credits back to your balance when a generation fails due to a provider error or a content-safety block. No action is needed on your part; this is handled in-app. These credit refunds are not monetary refunds and do not extend the expiration of your subscription period.

5. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we can usually resolve billing issues faster than your bank. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email support@cineflow.cam from the address on your account and include:

  1. the email associated with your account;
  2. the transaction ID or invoice number (from your receipt);
  3. the date and amount of the charge;
  4. a brief description of the issue.

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through Polar and typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

7. Taxes

Where applicable taxes (such as VAT or GST) were collected at checkout, they are refunded together with the principal amount when a refund is approved.

8. Promotional Credits & Free Grants

Free-plan credits, promotional credits, and bonus credits granted by us have no cash value and are not refundable under any circumstances.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email and will apply only to purchases made after the effective date of the update.
